
ECNEC Approves Various Development Projects of Different Sectors
Islamabad: On July 11th, as per the latest news, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has given a nod to several development projects across the nation. Chaired by Mr. Ishaq Dar, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, the meeting resulted in the approval of significant projects in various sectors.
The following projects have been approved by ECNEC: Lahore Bypass Construction: The Lahore Bypass
Project is set to extend approximately 40 kilometers, from Kalashah Kaku Exit to Multan Road near the Radio Station.
Estimated Cost: PKR 34,446.585 million
Financed Under: Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP)
Power Evacuation
The Power Evacuation project aims to facilitate the transmission of power from 800 MW Mohmand Dam Hydro Power Project (HPP) to the National Grid.
Estimated Cost: PKR 14,319.18 million
Financed Under: Asian Development Bank
Beneficial Districts: Peshawar, Nowshera, and Mohmand in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province
Sindh Solar Energy
The Sindh Solar Energy Project aims to fulfill Pakistan's commitments to climate change and improve energy security.
Estimated Cost: PKR 27,418.13 million

Prime Minister’s National Program for Solarization of Agriculture Tube Wells
This three-year project, the Prime Minister’s National Program for Solarization of Agriculture Tube Wells, aims to convert 100,000 tube wells into solar PV systems.
Estimated Cost: PKR 377,236.275 million
Beneficial Districts: The project will promote clean and green energy in Sindh, Baluchistan, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment & Industrial Support
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment and Industrial Support project will be executed in two phases and will focus on several districts.
Estimated Cost: PKR 110,700 million
Financed Under: Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP Govt)
Beneficial Districts: Bajur, Mohmand, Orakzai, Khyber, South Waziristan, North Waziristan, Kurram, and erstwhile FR regions
